• 1st year

  First Year Courses

  • Fundamentals of Nursing: Introduction to nursing practices, ethics, and responsibilities.
  • Anatomy & Physiology: Study of the human body, its systems, and how they function.
  • Microbiology: Basics of bacteria, viruses, infections, and their prevention.
  • Nutrition and Dietetics: Understanding proper nutrition and diet for different patient needs.
  • Health Education and Communication Skills: Learning how to communicate with patients and provide health education.
  • First Aid and Emergency Care: Training in providing basic first aid and managing emergencies.

  Assessment

  • Three written papers form the First University Examination, together with a submitted portfolio of two exam essays of 2,000 words for Introduction to English Language and Literature.
  • All exams must be passed, but marks do not count towards the final degree.
• 2st year

  Second Year Courses

  • Maternity and Child Health Nursing: Focus on maternal care, labor, delivery, and neonatal care.
  • Community Health Nursing: Focus on primary healthcare, disease prevention, and health promotion in communities.
  • Mental Health Nursing: Understanding psychological health and supporting patients with mental health conditions.
